Nikos Evangeliou has a 25+ years’ experience in a large multinational steel products manufacturing company (SIDENOR SA, Member of VIOHALCO Group). He spent his career in Greece and abroad, running several departments (SC, PMO, Technical, Operational Excellence etc.), holding several C-level positions and responsible for strategy formulation and execution, business development, operations, capital investments, and supply chain management. He studied Mechanical Engineering and holds an MBA and a LeanSixSigma black belt certification.

Ioannis (John) Panagiotopoulos holds a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (2011). He is a hydrogen and biofuels expert. John has published 5 book chapters and more than 10 peer-reviewed papers. Outside of Greece he has worked in the Netherlands (Wageningen University and Research Center, 2007-2009) on biohydrogen, and in Canada (University of British Columbia, Vancouver, 2011-2014) on cellulosic ethanol. In Greece he worked as principal scientist and then business development manager for the biodiesel producer Elin Biofuels from 2014 to 2018. Since 2018 he has been working for the industrial gases producers Air Liquide and SOL Group, in various business development and sales positions.

George Belantakis
George Belantakis has over 15 years of professional experience in the industry. He holds a degree in Chemistry and a master’s degree in Energy. In recent years until today, he represents the lime industry of Greece, as executive secretary of the local association. His expertise includes compliance issues related to chemicals legislation (REACH), environmental legislation consulting, health and safety consulting, and the development of analytical methods. He is also in charge of the Greek Lime Association’s laboratory.
Ioannis Sebos
Dr Ioannis Sebos has more than 25 years work experience, and in particular 16 years of experience in Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) related to GHG inventories. He is the scientific responsible and coordinator of the Greenhouse Gas Inventory System of Greece, and member of the working group for the monitoring of the implementation of the National Climate and Energy Plan (NECP). He is a Lead Reviewer of UNFCCC and EEA/EC. Since 2022, he is a member of the Editorial Board at the Emission Factor Database of IPCC. He works as a Teaching and Research Associate at the National Technical University of Athens. He is also a adjunct professor at the Master Program “Applied Policies and Techniques for the Protection of Environment” of the University of West Attica and at Master Program “Environmental Design” of the Hellenic Open University. Furthermore, he has participated in many technical projects dealing with: climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies and policies, renewable energy, industrial risk assessment etc.
