Companies in the steel sector are Resource and Energy Intensive Industries mainly due to the use of Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) to melt the steel scrap. This EAF has a very high energy consumption, which translates into a high environmental footprint.

RETROFEED put together a  workshop where you will discover the solutions developed in two steel factories (PITINNI GROUP and TENARIS SILCOTUB) for reducing their energy consumption. A demonstration of the Decision Support System (DSS) specially designed for them, which helps understand how some variables are influencing the process without having to perform extensive tests or complicated procedures will also take place.
