SUMMARY:Solar Power Summit 2021
DESCRIPTION:Driving sustainable change\nThe year 2021 is not just “any year”. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic\, European economies and industrial sectors have been under extreme pressure\, and the lives of all Europeans have changed profoundly. The European Recovery Plan adopted by EU Member States in July 2020 aimed not only to mitigate the devastating impacts of the pandemic but to seize a historic opportunity to revive our economies and industries\, placing the fight against climate change at the heart of Europe’s future job creation and growth \nThe European Green Deal and EU commitment to achieving climate neutrality by 2050 have therefore taken on a whole new dimension. Could it be the gateway to sustainable growth? Creating jobs and new businesses\, while ensuring a heathier and more secure environment for all Europeans? \nThe European solar sector has demonstrated its immense growth potential\, and its resilience to drive sustainable growth in the long-term. But there is so much more to harvest. Solar energy is the most job-intensive energy source\, with the potential of creating more than 4 million jobs globally by ;It is also the most versatile and affordable energy source in history\, supporting the competitiveness of EU businesses\, the sustainability of European homes\, and providing benefits well beyond the energy sector. \nThe 2021 edition of the SolarPower Summit is 100% dedicated to driving sustainable change and making the recovery a true European success ;  \nFriday 7 May: Side Event\nMonday 10 May – Wednesday 12 May: SolarPower Summit \n

SUMMARY:Clean Hydrogen Conference
DESCRIPTION:Hydrogen can be used as a zero-emission fuel burned with oxygen. Hydrogen is a very important raw material of the future\, presently it is used as feedstock for fertilizer production and methanol production\, but more processes will adapt and the circular economy will enhance the role of hydrogen significantly.  As a renewable transport fuel the commercial use of Hydrogen has taken of in applications to replace diesel in public busses\, heavy transport and -moving ; \nAs the production of Hydrogen is energy intensive\, a direct connection to renewable energy sources is required. A lot of research and development is done to create Clean Hydrogen\, which can be done in two ways\, electrochemical and thermochemical. \nNormally\, green hydrogen is produced via water electrolysis on renewable power. Electrolysis is an excellent process to capture potential oversupply in green energy production and solve various problems of transporting this energy\, however its variable production and difficulty to transport and store provides a challenge for the chemical industry. Therefore alternatives should be developed since one can not solve all the hydrogen demand issues via electrolysis. \nThe alternative options to create clean hydrogen are: \n\nThe gasification of biomass towards hydrogen and green CO2\nPyrolysis\, a chemical recycling method\nThe splitting of natural gas in pure carbon and hydrogen\n\nDuring the Clean Hydrogen Conference the (inter)national speakers will present their view and experience on this fast developing market. \n  \nWho should attend: \n\nR&D / Innovation and General management of\n\nEnergy and Chemical companies\nBio mass suppliers\nPyrolysis industry\nRecycling value chain\n\n\nGovernmental bodies\nRegulatory institutions\nInvestors\nStart-Ups

SUMMARY:European Conference on Access to Risk Finance for Clean Energy Technologies
DESCRIPTION:Public and private financial instruments to enable the energy transition\n  \n\nThe European Conference on Access to Risk Finance for Clean Energy Technologies will gather speakers from the public and private finance sector who will showcase the funding opportunities available for clean energy tech in Europe. \nParticipants will also have the opportunity to attend a match-making event\, where investors\, funding experts and clean energy technology providers will be able to meet and create fruitiful synergies to make innovative projects come to life. \nThe event is free of charge and is organised in the framework of the EU-funded project SMARTSPEND.

SUMMARY:Green Hydrogen Forum 2021
DESCRIPTION:Fuel of the future\nGreen hydrogen has become a cornerstone of Europe’s energy transition strategy. Technological and economic advances and explicit political and corporate support over the last two years have brought green hydrogen to the forefront of the energy and climate change agendas of many countries. Thus\, green hydrogen is poised to play a crucial role in realising net zero-emissions energy systems envisioned by 2050 by these nations. \nSupplying hydrogen to industrial users is now a major business around the world. Demand for hydrogen\, which has grown more than threefold since 1975\, continues to rise – almost entirely supplied from fossil fuels\, with 6% of global natural gas and 2% of global coal going to hydrogen production. \nWith revenues for green hydrogen projected to exceed $200 billion by 2027\, diverse opportunities will open up not only for renewable projects for its production\, but also to use it as a long-term energy storage technology\, to replace fossil fuels for mobility\, and to become a major part of manufacturing and process industries. The transition to green hydrogen could provide $11 trillion of infrastructure investment opportunities over the next 30 years making a global business focus. The number of countries with polices that directly support investment in hydrogen technologies is increasing\, along with the number of sectors they target
